Over the years, breast augmentation plastic surgeons developed a surgical technique called transumbilical breast augmentation or TUBA for short, to minimize the formation of breast augmentation scars.
TUBA involves making an small incision in the naval rim (inner belly button) and inserting an endoscope (lighted camera) make a track to the implant location. A rolled up implant is then worked from the incision site to the breast implant location.
