Average cost of breast lift in dallas

A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a procedure that does not increase the size of your breasts. If you are small-chested, it may be better for you to consider a breast augmentation with implants. However, if you wish to enhance the perkiness of your breasts, as well as improve their shape and position, then this is the procedure for you.

If you have lost volume in your breasts after breastfeeding or pregnancy, or if you have experienced aging or weight loss, then a mastopexy can help restore the look of your breasts to that of their younger years. A breast lift can also correct sagging breasts when those are caused by age or genetics.

Breast Lift Cost

A breast lift procedure is performed to lift, tighten and reposition the breasts to rejuvenate their appearance. It is an extremely popular procedure that is often undertaken by patients after pregnancy or weight loss has resulted in their breasts sagging. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the average cost of a breast lift procedure in 2020 was over $5,000. However, RealSelf states that the average cost of a breast lift is around $8,000 so most mastopexy procedures will be between these two average figures. The cost of a breast lift procedure does therefore significantly vary as there are many factors that impact the total cost of a patients procedure including:

  • The technique performed
  • If another surgery is combined with the procedure
  • Type of anesthesia used
  • The length of the surgery
  • Hospital or operating room charges
  • Experience and expertise of surgeon
  • Surgery location
  • Aftercare products
  • Consultations and check-up appointments
  • Post procedure complications

Mini Breast Lift Cost

Mini breast lift techniques are performed to address more minimal concerns of sagging and tightening. These techniques tend to include a donut breast lift and a half-crescent breast lift. Both these procedures produce minimal scarring compared to the more extensive breast lift techniques as the incision line is only created around the areola. During a half-crescent breast lift, the incision line is made around half the circumference of the areola, while a donut lift requires an incision line around the entire areola. These procedures allow for some excess skin or tissue to be removed and minimal tightening to be performed. Since these mini breast lift techniques are the least extensive types of procedures they tend to be priced at the lower end of the average price range. RealSelf states that the average price range is between $2,075 and $14,000 and so mini breast lifts will tend to be at the lower end of this range.

Breast Lift And Reduction Cost

A breast reduction procedure is performed to reduce the size of a patient’s breasts for aesthetic or medical reasons. Breast reduction patients very often have a breast lift performed alongside their surgery as having large breasts can result in significant sagging due to the large weight. View our Dallas Breast Reduction Gallery to see real patient before and after pictures.

Insurance often covers the costs of a breast reduction procedure if the size of the patient’s breasts are causing health issues such as chronic pain or rashes. However, this does not mean that insurance providers will also pay for these patients to combine their procedure with a breast lift. There are therefore cases where insurance companies will help finance the breast reduction and the patient pays the additional cost to have a breast lift undertaken. You would need to speak to your insurance provider to discover what funding you would qualify for. For more information regarding the average cost of a breast reduction procedure, you can read our blog ‘Breast Reduction Cost Dallas, Texas’.

Breast Augmentation With Lift Cost

A Breast Augmentation procedure is frequently performed alongside a breast lift as many patients want to enhance the volume of their breasts and reduce sagging. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the average cost of a breast augmentation procedure can range from $6,000 to $12,000. However, RealSelf state that the average price of a breast augmentation procedure is around $6,400 which tends to be closer to the average cost of a Dallas augmentation procedure.

Since neither of these breast procedures tend to be covered by insurance providers so the majority of patients who undergo these procedures have to finance it themselves. This is why most surgeons offer a variety of financing options so that patients can receive a loan and pay for their surgery with manageable monthly payments. Additionally, choosing to combine the two breast surgeries often means that a reduced price is offered for one of the surgeries and so undergoing them together will often be significantly cheaper than undergoing them separately. For further information on how much a breast augmentation procedure tends to cost you can read our blog ‘How Much Does A Breast Augmentation Cost In Dallas, Texas?’

Breast Lift With Fat Transfer Cost

A breast lift with a fat transfer procedure would involve combining a breast lift with a Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation Procedure. Any fat transfer procedure involves performing liposuction on an area of the body so that the fat can be harvested to be used for the transfer. This fat must then be purified to ensure that only the fat cells are taken to be injected into the breasts. This procedure is often combined with a breast lift as many patients have concerns regarding both the position of the breasts as well as the volume. A fat transfer breast augmentation achieves a more natural-looking and more minimal breast enhancement.

RealSelf state that the average cost of a fat transfer breast augmentation is $9,225. For more in-depth information on what a fat transfer procedure entails and the average cost of the procedure you can read our blog ‘A Patient’s Guide To A Fat Transfer Procedure In Dallas’.

Cost Of Breast Implant Removal And Lift

There are many reasons why a patient may have their breast implants removed including because they have changed their mind over the implants they had inserted, they are suffering medical issues such as Capsular Contracture or their implants have ruptured. Regardless of the reason, a patient undergoes a Breast Implant Revision or Removal Procedure, they may not wish to have implants replaced. In these cases, some patients choose to undergo a breast lift procedure as they are unhappy with the appearance of their breasts after their implants have been removed. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the average cost for a breast implant removal procedure in 2020 is $3,049. The cost of a breast lift procedure would significantly add to the surgery cost since the average price of a breast lift is much more than for implant removal.

Laser Breast Lift Cost

There are various non-surgical breast lift options available to patients who do not want to undergo an extensive surgical procedure. One of the non-surgical breast lift treatments patients can undergo is a laser breast lift. Lasers are used to remove dead skin cells from the breasts and increase collagen production so that the skin’s elasticity is increased and the breasts are rejuvenated. According to Healthline, the average cost for a laser breast lift treatment is between $1,144 and $2,071.

Vampire Breast Lift Cost

The vampire breast lift is another non-surgical technique that can be undertaken to lift the breasts. This procedure is significantly different from laser techniques as blood, taken from your own body, is injected into the breasts. The platelet-rich plasma from within your blood is used to increase blood circulation in the breasts which results in a small lift of the breasts as well as making any wrinkles or scars less obvious. According to Healthline a vampire breast lift tends to cost $1,700 and has a lasting result for many years.

Breast Lift/Mastopexy

Also known as mastopexy, a breast lift in Oklahoma City raises and firms sagging breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue.  It is a procedure that is commonly performed after pregnancy or weight loss to correct sagginess, or can be used to correct poorly shaped or asymmetric breasts.  The procedure involves incisions that will both raise the nipple into a more appropriate, perky position and also shorten the length of the lower breast and tighten it appropriately.  In addition, a breast lift will often also decrease the size of the areola, which is also commonly necessary after breast feeding or normal breast aging and sagging.  Finally, a breast lift can rejuvenate your figure by producing a breast profile that is more youthful and uplifted, which will also commonly give the appearance of a lengthened, narrowed torso.

What breast lift surgery won’t do

Breast lift surgery does not significantly change the size of your breasts. If you want your breasts to look much smaller, or feel much lighter, you may need to consider a breast reduction, which involves similar incisions, but the removal of more breast tissue.   In addition, breast lift does not restore or enhance the volume of the breast.  If restoration or enhancement of fullness or shape to the upper portion of the breast is desired, an implant, or sometimes fat injection or a procedure called autoaugmentation is necessary to achieve this.  Dr. Jones can discuss all of these options with you during your consultation.

Is breast lift surgery right for me?

Breast lift surgery is a highly individualized procedure that when performed for the right reasons, can be extremely rewarding.  It is very important to closely examine what a breast lift can achieve and to know if that will meet your goals.  Often, implant placement or reduction is also performed to better achieve goals, but is not always necessary.  Nevertheless, with careful consideration and thorough consultation and preparation, the risks of the procedure can be very low with the chance of success very high.  Dr. Jones will thoroughly discuss with you all options to help determine if breast lift is right for you.

The Consultation

You will meet with Dr. Jones and discuss your goals with respect to the shape of your breasts.  You will specifically discuss what currently bothers you about your breasts and what you would like to correct or enhance.  You will review the various breast lifting options and if you would like to improve the shape and fullness of the upper portion of your breast (very common and typically requires the placement of an implant).   You may on the other hand discuss the importance of the reduction of some breast size and weight.  Either way, it is very important to clearly state your goals to Dr. Jones.

Dr. Jones will then examine you and discuss with you options based upon your anatomy and goals.  You may review before and after photos and illustrations and animations at this time as well to help clarify what can be expected.

Finally, after you and Dr. Jones have collaborated on the best plan for you, he will discuss with you the risks of the procedure and the typical recovery.  You will also discuss what preparations are necessary for surgery such as if a mammogram is necessary, any medications you will need to stop etc.   You will have the opportunity to have any other questions answered at this time as well.

The Procedure

Dr. Jones will typically perform a breast lift and its variations in his surgical facility, which is at the same location as his office.  The day of surgery, you will have the comfort of arriving at the same place as your consultation and being greeted by the same staff.  You will then come into the preop room and Dr. Jones will come in and answer any final questions or concerns.  He will mark you for surgery and you will then meet the anesthesiologist.  You will then walk to the operating room for surgery with assistance from Dr. Jones’ nurse.

After your breasts are reshaped and excess skin is removed, the remaining skin is tightened as the incisions are closed.  Many different skin incision patterns are possible and Dr. Jones will discuss with you the most appropriate (see above illustrations).  Dr. Jones typically uses absorbable stitches that do not have to be removed to close the incisions and he also covers them with a tape that will remain for 2-3 weeks, on average.  This tape will then be covered with gauze and you will be placed in a post surgical sports bra that fastens to the front.  This helps to keep the incision areas clean and provide good support and protection while also allowing a very low maintenance recovery.  You will typically recover for approximately one hour in Dr. Jones’ facility after surgery and you may then go home or to a local hotel within 30 minutes with a responsible adult the night of surgery.  Dr. Jones will call to check on you the night of surgery.

The first day after surgery will be your first postoperative visit.  You will be shown how to care for your dressings on this day and be given further instructions such as when to shower, icing, activity level, etc.  Your remaining visits will then be scheduled and spaced out accordingly.  Pain medication is usually only necessary for a couple of days and most patients are up and moving around immediately.  The average time off work is typically 2-3 days for a desk-type job.  Low impact exercise can typically be resumed in 3 weeks after surgery with a return to full activity typically at 6 weeks.  Most patients find themselves having to be careful to not overdo things because of how good they feel.

See the results

The results of your breast lift surgery are immediately visible. Over time, post-surgical swelling will resolve and incision lines will fade.  Some of these incision lines are concealed in natural breast contours, while others are visible on the breast surface.  Nevertheless, most incisions fade well enough to blend in with the tissues well.  This takes approximately one year.

Satisfaction with your new image should continue to grow as you recover and realize the fulfillment of your goal for breasts which have been restored to a more youthful and uplifted position.

Breast Lift Surgery

Breast lift is a major cosmetic surgery procedure, and a woman should choose it after careful deliberation. While price remains a starting point for many women considering an elective surgery such as breast lift, the choice of a marvelous surgeon should override other concerns.
During the pre-op consultations, the surgeon will discuss the estimated costs of breast lift, apart from other aspects of the surgery. The first goal of the plastic surgeon will be to help the patient make an informed decision. The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery provides breast lift to patients in Houston, TX, and nearby locations.

Scope Of Procedure

The patient should try and understand everything for which she will be paying before deciding to go ahead with breast lift plastic surgery. To some extent, the price will depend on how long and extensive the surgery is likely to be. In complex cases, where the patient suffers from a significant degree of sagging, or where the woman’s breasts are very large, the surgery may be longer and costlier.

Surgeon’s Fee

If breast lift is performed by a highly qualified, board certified and experienced cosmetic surgeon their fee may be relatively higher than that of a lesser trained surgeon. Furthermore, a surgeon may decide to perform the procedure at a hospital or an ambulatory surgical center. The costs in case of hospital facilities will be higher. Some surgeons may choose to perform the procedure at a private surgical suite, which will bring down the dollar amount.

Practice Location

Like most products and services, the costs of health care also vary from one region to another. Cost of living in a particular area will affect the average cost of breast lift performed at a practice located in that area. The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery receives patients from Houston, TX, and surrounding locations for breast lift and various other procedures.

Anesthesia And The Financial Implications

Breast lift surgery may be performed using general anesthesia in many cases. The anesthesia may be administered by an experienced or board certified anesthesiologist, or a certified anesthetist nurse. Their fee will differ according to their qualifications and experience.

Breast Lift Combined With Other Treatments

The price tag of a breast lift procedure will go up, if it is performed in combination with breast augmentation surgery, tummy tuck, liposuction or another procedure. Sometimes, it may be performed as a part of a mommy makeover. In comparison to two surgeries performed separately, the procedure becomes more cost-effective in case of combined surgeries because the costs of anesthesia, surgical facility and surgeon’s fee will be incurred only once.

Insurance for breast lift surgery will be covered only in a rare case where the severely sagging breasts are inhibiting normal movement or activity, and causing physical discomfort. In other cases, the patient will have to pay the full cost on her own.
