I have ultra sensitive skin so usually the exfoliator I buy will be gel type and without any scrubby beads in it. I was looking for a new exfoliator and I found this exfoliator while I was doing some research online. I knew that ‘The Body Shop’ has 3 different types of liquid peel, the green (Drops of Youth Liquid Peel), the white (Drops of Light Pure Resurfacing Liquid Peel) and the orange (the one I bought which is shown in the picture above). Eventually, I decided to try the orange one first because my skin is quite dull and lack of luster so I was thinking maybe the vitamin c in it will help with my skin issues. But I made a terrible mistake which is not testing it out in store before buying.

Personal experience using it: As you can tell by my rating, unfortunately this product wasn’t up to my liking. Here are the reasons why I don’t like it. First of all, this product is more than just an exfoliator, it is a liquid peel. So after you massage this product onto your dry skin, you will see small clumps starting to appear on your skin as you massage. These clumps won’t just wash away when you splash your face with water like all the other gel exfoliators do, instead you have to peel it one by one for them to come off your skin. It’s pretty annoying because you can imagine how many small clumps there are on your skin. So what I do is I will use a wet cloth and wipe all those clumps off because I ain’t no time to peel them off one by one. Also, this product totally strips all the moisture out of my skin. I saw other bloggers saying that this peel leaves their skin super soft and smooth, but personally I felt like this product is way too stripping on the skin and is a bit uncomfortable to the fact that it feels like you are using a dishwashing liquid soap on your skin and it completely washes off every single bit of good and bad oils on your skin. It smells quite chemically as well. I don’t recommend using it everyday, once a week is enough or even once every 2 weeks. If you are thinking of buying this product, you should really pop into their store and try it out first before buying it. Don’t make the same mistake as I did.

There are a plethora of serums, ointments, procedures, and lotions that declare it can help reduce the signs of aging. But did you know Vitamin C works wonders on treating uneven skin tone, acne, scarring, fine lines and wrinkles? The Vitamin C Peel and its benefits make it a skin care treatment well worth your while.

Vitamin C is one of the best-known defenses against free radicals (such as pollution, sun rays, and cigarette smoke) that can cause your skin to lose elasticity and sag. As a result, your skin loses its ability to shed dead skin cells, causing a dull and uneven appearance. Vitamin C works as an antioxidant to neutralize these free radicals, by preventing them from oxidizing on your skin.

When there is a build-up of dead skin cells on the face, the skin in the area begins to appear aged and worn. With the help of a Vitamin C peel, you can slough off the dead skills cells, so your body can replace them with new ones giving you a fresh and vibrant glow.

This peel can also help anyone suffering from acne, as it deeply cleanses pores and provides an anti-bacterial action to prevent them from reappearing. The acid found in Vitamin C also works as a bleaching agent that can help restore imbalanced skin tone and help fade blemishes.

This process is perfectly safe for all skin types and suitable for any age, with no recovery time like traditional peels. Virtually pain-free, the peel has a gentle tingling feeling from the ingredients penetrating the lower layers of the skin. Most results can be seen after one session, but it’s advisable as with a beauty routine to maintain results with multiple treatments.
