Breast augmentation, which increases the size, shape, and projection of the breasts, is a popular and sought-after surgical operation. One of the most popular procedures performed by our surgeons, breast augmentation produces stunning results that last a lifetime.

Breast lifts, also known as mastopexies, restore fullness to sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the nipples. In the end, women get a toned, younger-looking physique.

Three distinguished plastic surgeons from Columbus, Ohio—Drs. Ergun Kocak and Santosh Kale—have been recognized by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons for their profession. Many women in the Midwest and around the world have benefited from their breast lift procedures, which they developed together.

Breast augmentation surgery can give you the results you’ve always wanted, whether it’s to fill out smaller breasts, restore volume after pregnancy or weight loss, fix asymmetry, or increase your self-confidence. Cosmeticsurgerytips has all the information you need to make an informed decision.

In the field of cosmetic surgery, making an informed choice is crucial for both the patient and the surgeon. Dr. Bram Kaufman, a renowned cosmetic surgeon based in Pepper Pike, Cleveland, OH, emphasizes the importance of ensuring that patients have a clear understanding of the procedures they are considering. During the pre-operative consultation process, Dr. Kaufman takes the time to explain the costs involved in the surgery as well as address any queries or concerns the patient may have.

Dr. Kaufman’s approach to patient care is centered around transparency and open communication. He believes that by providing patients with all the necessary information, they can make educated decisions about their treatment options. This not only helps in managing the patient’s expectations but also fosters a sense of trust and confidence in the surgeon.

During the pre-operative consultation, Dr. Kaufman discusses the estimated costs of the procedure with the patient. This may include the surgeon’s fees, facility fees, anesthesia fees, and any other expenses related to the surgery. By laying out the financial aspect of the procedure upfront, Dr. Kaufman ensures that there are no surprises for the patient later on.

In addition to discussing costs, Dr. Kaufman also takes the time to address any questions or concerns the patient may have about the surgery. Patients are encouraged to ask about the risks and benefits of the procedure, the recovery process, and any other relevant information that will help them feel more comfortable and confident about their decision.

Dr. Kaufman’s commitment to patient education and satisfaction has earned him a loyal following in Pepper Pike, Cleveland, OH, and the surrounding communities. Patients appreciate his attention to detail and personalized approach to care, knowing that they are in good hands under his expertise.

Factors influencing the price tag

Geographic location of the practice can make a key difference to its costs. In general, the expenses will be higher in large urban centers and coastal cities. Whether the procedure is performed by an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon can also make a difference to the dollar figure. The ASPS recommends patients to choose the most appropriate surgeon for their needs, while considering the surgeon’s fee as a secondary factor.

Whether the procedure is performed at the surgeon’s own surgical suite or the surgery is performed at a hospital or accredited ambulatory center will make an impact on the overall cost. The type of breast implants chosen, and whether the procedure is combined with breast lift or another procedure will also make a difference. Dr. Kaufman will discuss all these factors with his patients in Pepper Pike, Cleveland, OH, and nearby locations.

Cost and Financing

Breast lift surgery costs between $4,750 and $5,750, with final costs varying based on location, duration, and if combined with other procedures. All-inclusive cost packages can range from $8,000 to $15,000, and patients should have a clear cost estimate and plan their budget and financing arrangements well before the procedure. Prices for saline, silicone gel, and highly cohesive silicone breast implants vary, with saline implants costing around $1,000 to $1,200 a pair, silicone gel implants from $2,000 to $2,500, and highly cohesive silicone implants or gummy bear implants from $3,000 to $3,000 a pair. Breast augmentation surgery can be performed at private surgical suites, hospitals, or ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs), which are advanced care facilities that offer outpatient procedures and overnight stays. ASC surgery is typically less expensive than hospital surgery, and patients may save $500 to $1,000 by choosing an ASC over a hospital.

Techniques

Breast tissue will stretch and sag due to natural occurrences such as aging, pregnancy, and weight loss. In addition, breast skin may lead to the nipple’s descent to a position just below the crease. The breast lift repositions the nipple and areola while removing excess skin. This can be done through several techniques:

  1. Crescent Lift
This involves making a small incision along the top half of the areola. You may further enhance your breasts with saline implants placed during surgery.
  2. Periareolar Lift
Also known as a doughnut lift, the cut runs along the areola. The dark areas and extra skin are removed. This is ideal for women with slightly sagging breasts.
  3. Lollipop Lift
Most suited for women with moderate breast sagging. A lollipop breast lift involves two incisions: one circling the areola and the other extending downward.
  4. Anchor Lift
An anchor mastopexy allows your surgeons to remove the most amount of skin while creating a significant lift. Incisions circle the areola, then extend vertically downwards and horizontally across the breast crease. This type of lift can address substantial breast sagging after major weight loss or pregnancy.

Performing the Procedure

Breast lift is an outpatient procedure and can typically last 2 – 4 hours. Surgical time may extend if you decide to undergo other procedures, such as an en bloc capsulectomy, tummy tuck, or liposuction with fat transfer. General anesthesia is recommended, but local anesthesia with sedation is also an option. More numbing solution will be injected into your breasts to further minimize any pain.

Before surgery, incision lines are drawn on your breasts. Once sedated, your doctors will cut into the incisions, and excess skin and tissue are removed. After the desired shape and size is achieved, the nipples and areolas are repositioned. If you are undergoing an augmentation, the implants are placed last. Incisions will then be closed with dissolvable sutures.

Recovery

It can take up to 6 weeks for your body to recover from breast lift surgery, including a concurrent augmentation or reduction procedure. It is recommended to have a family member or friend assist you with chores and wound cleaning for 2 days.

After 2 weeks, you can return to work and resume basic exercises and simple chores, provided your breasts are no longer swollen. However, you must maintain constant use of your prescribed surgical bra for 3 weeks to avoid your new breasts from bottoming out. Within 4 – 6 weeks, your scars will heal and you may resume strenuous exercises and activities.

Results

If you follow your post-op instructions, your final result should manifest in 3 months. Your scars will turn white if healed properly and will continue to fade over time, contributing to an aesthetically pleasing and confidence-boosting result.
