How does manuka honey work? |
As wound fluid enters the dressing, the honey is released while the dressing absorbs it and forms a gel to create an optimal wound healing environment. Leptospermum Honey has been shown to have several active properties which assist in promoting an optimal healing environment while having a low pH to help lower the overall wound pH beneficial to chronic wounds. |

Product Description:
Manuka Medical Honey Dressing is suitable for wounds with exudate, whilst creating a sterile environment to promote wound healing. When wound discharge enters the Honey Gauze, the honey is released and the discharge is absorbed into the dressing. For dry wounds it is recommended to moisten the Honey Gauze Dressing with saline prior to application.
Manuka Honey is medical grade honey and is gentle on the skin. It can be secured with a bandage or tape. It can be removed painlessly and will not stick to the wound, ensuring minimal discomfort to the patient.
Suitable to cover the surface of wounds, such as diabetes foot, burns, sore wounds, pressure wounds, post-operative wounds, etc.
Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing is wrapped individually to secure keeping sterile. Do not use it if the inner package is damaged or opened prior to use.
