The cost of tummy tuck in Greenville SC is affordable.

The cost of tummy tuck in Greenville SC is affordable. The cost of tummy tuck in Greenville SC is different from one person to another and depends on many factors. The main factor that affects the price is the type of procedure you need. Your doctor will suggest a specific procedure based on your condition and other factors such as age, weight, medical history, overall health etc. The cost also depends on whether it requires open or closed operation and how long the surgery takes to complete.

In general, the average price ranges between $2K-$8K but this can vary depending on where you live or if your provider accepts insurance plans like Medicare or Medicaid etc. Tummy tuck costs typically include anesthesia fee (if not covered by insurance), hospital fees and surgeon’s fee which may go up depending upon your condition and other requirements.

Many factors influence the cost of the procedure.

  • The location of your surgery is one factor that will influence the cost. Greenville, South Carolina is a popular destination for cosmetic procedures because it offers a wide range of options and reasonable costs.
  • The type of anesthesia used will also impact the price tag on your tummy tuck procedure. Local anesthesia may be sufficient for your needs, depending on how much pain you experience during recovery. General anesthesia can make you unconscious during the surgery and offer more benefits than local anesthetic alone (like less bleeding), but this option tends to be more expensive by comparison.
  • Operating room facilities are another factor in determining how much you pay for a tummy tuck procedure in Greenville SC area hospitals or surgical centers. These include everything from equipment to staff training programs and licensing requirements; all these things contribute to higher costs associated with undergoing this type of surgery at certain facilities compared with others nearby wherein there may not be any difference between them except their location within city limits versus its suburbs where patients can receive services at lower costs thanks to economies-of-scale available through centralized services provided by large healthcare providers like Carolinas Medical Center Hospital System which specializes in offering affordable rates through its affiliated medical institutions located throughout greater metropolitan areas such as Columbia SC area where patients often travel from across Southeast United States seeking excellent care from experienced surgeons who know what it takes when performing various types surgeries including those needed after having lost weight due too many years spent dieting unsuccessfully – only now able affordably thanks!

These factors include:

There are a number of factors that contribute to the cost of your procedure, including:

  • Location. The closer you live to Greenville, the less expensive your tummy tuck will be.
  • Anesthesia. General anesthesia costs more than local anesthesia and can add hundreds of dollars to your total bill.
  • Operating room facilities. A standard operating room does not have the same equipment as a dedicated plastic surgery center, so if you choose to have your tummy tuck in an out-of-hospital setting (like at a hospital or surgery center), this can increase your total cost by $200 or more per hour for each surgeon present during the procedure (the second surgeon helps monitor and assist with any complications).
  • Insurance coverage for cosmetic procedures varies widely by state; some states cover all surgical cosmetic procedures but do not cover non-surgical treatments such as Botox injections or chemical peels; other states limit coverage based on medical necessity (i.e., they’ll only pay for tummy tucks if they deem them medically necessary), while still others refuse any kind of payment at all

The location where you will undergo the procedure

The cost of tummy tuck surgery in Greenville SC is different from other cities. The location where you will undergo the procedure can affect the total price and must be considered. The most important step is to find a board-certified plastic surgeon who has performed this type of operation many times before.

The anesthesia that will be used during the procedure

You and your surgeon will decide which type of anesthesia to use during your tummy tuck surgery. The options are:

  • General anesthesia: This is usually provided by an anesthesiologist and involves injecting you with medications to make you unconscious. You’ll be monitored closely by a team at the hospital, including nurses and respiratory therapists who can help you if anything goes wrong.
  • Local anesthesia: This means that only a small area around where the incision will be made will be numbed using injections before it’s made. It won’t affect how much pain you feel later on when it starts working its way through your body system-wide as most local anesthetics do not have this effect on patients who have them administered inside their bodies (unlike certain topical creams). If there is any discomfort after surgery, take over-the-counter pain medication like ibuprofen or acetaminophen as recommended by your doctor until everything has healed up completely!
  • Regional anesthesia (epidural): During this procedure, anesthetic fluid is injected into spinal fluid surrounding nerves controlling sensation in specific parts of your body such as one side of abdominal wall instead of directly into nerves themselves; this way there’s less chance for side effects like nausea or dizziness afterward since they only affect small areas rather than entire systems at once.”

The operating room facilities

The operating room should be a place where surgery is performed. It is the most important part of any hospital, and it must meet certain requirements to ensure that you are safe and your procedure goes smoothly.

The operating room should be clean and well-maintained. It should have the right equipment to help in the operation of your tummy tuck, including:

  • Anesthetic machines that give anesthesia during surgery
  • Surgical instruments for removing skin, tightening muscles and repairing tissue damage from cesarean sections or pregnancies
  • Monitoring equipment such as heart rate monitors and intravenous pumps (IVs)

Your insurance coverage if any

When it comes to the cost of tummy tuck in Greenville SC, if you are covered by insurance, then that should be your first option. Check with your insurance company and see if they cover the procedure. If not, then you can also check with the doctor to see if they offer payment plans and/or finance options.

If you do not have coverage or do not want to wait for a reimbursement check from your insurance company, then consider saving up enough money so that you can pay for everything yourself without having to borrow money from anyone else or use credit cards.

The skill and experience of your surgeon among other factors.

The skill and experience of your surgeon among other factors.

There are many aspects that will determine the cost of a tummy tuck surgery. The cost of the procedure can vary depending on several factors including:

  • The location where you will undergo the procedure. If it is conducted at a hospital or clinic, then you may have to pay an additional fee for surgical costs. However, if your doctor has his own private practice, then you will only pay for their services without any other charges added in addition to payment made by insurance provider or Medicare program in case they cover this cosmetic procedure.
  • Your insurance coverage if any would play significant role in deciding how much money you will have to shell out after getting this type of cosmetic surgery done on yourself or loved ones who need such treatment done as soon as possible due health issues related with obesity problem that might lead towards other serious problems later down future like diabetes mellitus type II disease which needs immediate attention from doctors immediately after diagnosis stage before further complications become worse causing death.

What is the difference between an Anterior Torsoplasty and a Tummy Tuck?

A tummy tuck, also called an abdominoplasty, is the most basic abdominal contouring option and can help patients achieve a toned abdomen. Dr. Wassermann has developed his own improved procedure called an Anterior Torsoplasty that combines the best parts of a traditional tummy tuck with improved techniques for an amazing outcome. This procedure includes tightening all soft tissue layers of the abdomen and creating a flatter, firmer appearance; liposuction of the upper, lower and flanks of the abdomen; as well as an enhanced incision that will take care of the “muffin top” and create a completely smooth contour of the hips as well. This technique eliminates the stubborn tummy bulge and sculpts attractive, toned, and incredibly natural-looking results, improving abdominal wall appearance and function. Most patients achieve some degree of weight loss as a result of their tummy tuck procedure.

How is a Tummy Tuck Performed?

Each tummy tuck treatment is modified to address a patient’s specific concerns. All tummy tucks are performed with the aid of anesthesia to ensure that each patient remains entirely comfortable during their treatment. Typically, a tummy tuck includes liposuction of the abdomen and hips, abdominal wall reinforcement, and hernia repair if required. Dr. Wassermann will remove as much abdominal fat and excess skin as possible to deliver optimal results. Afterwards, incisions are closed and the treatment is complete. A tummy tuck can take up to four hours, depending on the extent of surgery involved and the results desired.

What is Recovery Like Following a Tummy Tuck?

Dr. Shawn Birchenough is a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in breast surgery and aesthetics. Dr. Katherine Birchenough is certified in functional medicine and an expert in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. We are Greenville’s premier physician-run medical Wellness and Aesthetic center. At OptimalSelf MD, we offer liposuction for men and women in Greenville, Simpsonville, Greer, Spartanburg, and the surrounding communities in South Carolina.

WHAT IS LIPOSUCTION?

The most popular cosmetic surgery procedure in the U.S. today, liposuction sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat from areas of the body that have not responded to diet and exercise. The best results from liposuction come from areas where the skin has the ability to “bounce back” (elasticity) after the deeper layers of fat are removed. Discussing the amount of “outside” fat (layers of fat just beneath the skin) versus “inside” fat (fat that is deep inside beneath the muscles and surrounding the abdominal organs) is critical to achieving realistic expectations on the abdomen after liposuction. Take a look at our liposuction before and after photos to see the results we have achieved for our patients.

HOW MUCH DOES LIPOSUCTION COST?

At OptimalSelf MD, we understand that you want to feel good about yourself, yet cost may be a primary consideration. We recommend that you schedule a consultation as a first step. As part of the consultation, we explain the price of your liposuction, and payment can be made by cash, check, and credit card. We also work with CareCredit® and Alphaeon® to offer our patients financing options.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LIPOSUCTION?

If you have small areas of fat that haven’t responded to diet and exercise, you may be a good candidate for liposuction. This includes arm liposuction to contour the upper arm area, and chin liposuction to contour your jaw line and lower face.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING LIPOSUCTION?

Small incisions are then made in places that are as inconspicuous as possible. A cannula (small hollow tube) is then inserted and moved back and forth beneath the skin, breaking up the fat layer and suctioning it out with the injected fluid. Local anesthesia or general anesthesia may be used and can last anywhere from one to five hours, depending on the amount of fat being removed.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO RECOVER FROM LIPOSUCTION?

During your liposuction recovery, you’ll be sore and a little swollen for a few days. Dr. Shawn can provide pain relievers to keep you comfortable. He will likely advise you to wear a special compression garment to speed healing and keep swelling under control. Everyone’s recovery is slightly different, but most patients can return to work within a few days. The best results of liposuction are noticed at three to six months after the procedure, as long as there is no significant weight gain. However, most patients notice changes within a few weeks. Strenuous exercise can be restarted at about three to four weeks, but patients may be encouraged to start low cardio activities within a few days, with the compression garments in place. Job restrictions will depend on how much lifting is necessary or how strenuous your job is.

CAN I SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION FOR LIPOSUCTION?

Liposuction is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the United States, and many people want to have the surgery, but you should choose your plastic surgeon carefully. We encourage you to schedule either a 15-minute phone consultation with Dr. Shawn or an in-office consultation for a fee. During your consultation, Dr. Shawn will examine your areas of concern and help you decide if liposuction is right for you, or if the skin needs to be addressed separately with a different type of procedure.

how much does a tummy tuck cost ohio

Diet and exercise sometimes do little to eliminate unwanted fat and loose skin in the abdominal area. They are also ineffective for stretch marks. If you are bothered by these appearance problems, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) may be a good choice for you. Abdominoplasty is performed to rid a person of excess skin and to tighten the weak abdominal wall muscles. This is frequently present in women following childbirth or great weight loss.

The procedure can be done as an outpatient surgery and sometimes can be done as a “mini” abdominoplasty, which works mainly on the lower portion of the abdomen (a “mini” procedure involves a limited skin excision of the abdomen below the belly-button in combination with liposuction). For a full abdominoplasty, I begin by making a long incision from one hipbone to the other, and then make a second incision to remove the naval from surrounding tissue. The skin is then separated from the abdominal wall and the abdominal muscles are pulled closer together, tightened, and stitched into a new position.

After this, the skin is stretched back down over the abdomen and extra skin is removed. A new hole is cut for the belly button and it, along with the original incision, is stitched. After surgery is performed, dressings and bandages are used and drainage tubes are used to help drain additional fluid. A compression garment is required to help limit swelling for several weeks.

Recovery period is anywhere from 10-21 days, depending on the extent of the procedure and the tightening of the abdominal wall musculature. Liposuction is frequently performed, and other procedures such as breast augmentation or lift can also be performed at the time of this surgery. I cannot perform aggressive liposuction of the midline abdominal fat at the same time as a full abdominoplasty since the blood supply to the tissues can be compromised.

The average cost including anesthesia and facility fees is ~ $7000-9500 (depending on the extent of the surgery and the amount of liposuction included). Prescriptions for pain medicine and antibiotics would be extra, depending upon your insurance company, and I recommend that all of my patients buy a compression garment for the immediate post-operative period. We also offer financing through companies recommended by the American Society of Plastic Surgery (please click on the financing button on this web site). Combined procedures are less expensive. Ultimately it would be best if I met you in person to give you a better idea about what type of surgery you might need. Please contact my office at 216-393-9924. Alternatively you can e-mail my patient care manager at [email protected].

The general risks of surgery include but are not limited to: bleeding, infection, injury to surrounding structures, asymmetry, hypertrophic/keloid scarring, prolonged irritation, and peri-operative anesthetic complications. The specific risks include sensation changes to the abdominal wall, wound healing complications to the lower abdominal wall or belly-button, recurrent laxity of the tissues, blood clot in the legs, and need for further surgery. That being said, most patients do very well with this surgery.

I would be more than happy to see you in my clinic where I can also show you more pictures of my patients and explain the procedure in greater detail.
