Skin can sag and lose its elasticity as you age, causing wrinkles to appear. Dermal fillers can correct thin lips and enhance a sagging chin or cheeks. These cosmetic injections are safe and will not cause damage to your face. If you’re looking for an alternative to surgical procedures, dermal fillers are one of the non-surgical options available to help restore your facial beauty.
In this guide, we review the aspects of Facelift Non Surgical Options, how long does a non surgical facelift last, non surgical face lift threading, and facelift without surgery at home.

Facelift Non Surgical Options
A lot of people suffer from sagging skin, but they don’t want to go under the knife. Luckily, there are many non-invasive options that can help you achieve a more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are one such option and have become popular for facial rejuvenation.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. Injecting dermal fillers into the skin can help to fill in wrinkles, folds and lines. Depending on which area of the face is being treated, they can last up to 18 months or even longer. Dermal fillers can also be used to lift the cheek or create fuller lips by making them appear more youthful and voluptuous.
Lifting the cheek.
Cheek lifts are a non-surgical treatment that lift the cheeks, improving their appearance and lifting the face as a whole. They can be combined with other treatments to achieve optimal results, such as a forehead lift or facelift.
Restylane.
Restylane is a gel that can be injected into the skin to smooth wrinkles and folds, fill in deep lines, plump up lips and add volume to sunken areas. It’s one of the most popular dermal fillers on the market and is FDA approved for this purpose. Some people find it effective for reducing forehead wrinkles as well.
Juviderm
Juviderm is a hyaluronic acid gel used to fill wrinkles and fine lines in the face. It’s FDA approved and can be used in areas like the forehead and cheeks, but it’s not permanent.
Collagen
Collagen is a protein that makes up the connective tissues in our bodies, such as skin, tendons and ligaments. Collagen helps with the formation of skin, tendons and ligaments. It also helps with the healing of wounds. Collagen is found in the dermis layer of your skin.
The production of collagen decreases with age due to hormonal changes, sun damage and environmental factors such as smoking or drinking alcohol excessively which can lead to sagging skin on your face over time. Collagen injections are an excellent way to reduce wrinkles caused by aging or too much sun exposure because they can add volume back into your face so you look more youthful again!
Dermal fillers can improve your appearance
Another non-surgical option to improve the appearance of your face is dermal fillers. These injectables are used to lift the cheek area, chin and mouth, as well as reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines. Dermal fillers can be injected into a number of areas on your face including:
- The cheeks
- Nose bridge
- Chin

If so, you may be the ideal candidate for a non-surgical facelift at AURAE MD in La Jolla, CA. If you think this sounds like something that would benefit you, keep reading this comprehensive guide to find out how long the results last, how you can extend them, and more.
How Long Does a Non-Surgical Facelift Last?
Individual results vary, but you can expect with a fair amount of confidence that your results will last for one to three years. One factor that affects the longevity of your results is the specific non-surgical technique used to tighten your loose skin, eliminate your jowls, and improve the appearance of your upper neck and midface. Dr. Margo Aura Emami, M.D. offers five methods for reversing the signs of facial aging without surgery:
How Long Do Y LIFT Results Last?
Generally, Y LIFT results last for one to three years. However, the exact longevity of the treatment depends on numerous factors, including your age, skin health, and lifestyle choices.
How Long Do EmbraceRF Results Last?
EmbraceRF, like Y LIFT, can be used to reverse the signs of aging in the lower face. One benefit of this treatment is that it melts excess localized fat. Once the fat cells are destroyed, your body will flush out the destroyed fat cells. The fat removal results of this treatment are permanent. However, the skin tightening results of this treatment will last approximately one year. Note, besides treating the neck, chin, and jawline, this treatment can enhance the:
How Long Do Accutite Results Last?
Accutite is an astonishingly effective anti-aging treatment that can provide the same results as a facelift and much more. For instance, it can be used to tighten loose skin in such areas as the:
Advise Dr. Margo Aura Emami on all of your cosmetic concerns during your initial evaluation. If you have loose skin, even if it is in an area that was not listed above, there is a good chance that Accutite can be used in the area to tighten loose skin. Generally, Accutite results last for five to 10 years, but any fat removal that occurs during treatment will be permanent.
How Long Do Facetite Results Last?
Like Accutite, Facetite provides results that can last for five to 10 years. However, you should keep in mind that this treatment is only FDA-approved for one year of skin tightening. For results that last as long as possible, you need to commit to a healthy lifestyle and consistent skincare routine.
How Long Do Morpheus8 Results Last?
After one to three Morpheus8 treatments, you can expect your results to last for 18 to 24 months. However, as with all other anti-aging treatments, the lifestyle choices you make will affect how long your results last.
What Can I Do to Extend the Longevity of My Results?
Stay Hydrated
Staying hydrated is one of the simplest, most effective steps you can take to extend the longevity of your non-surgical facelift results. Individual hydration needs vary based on sex, body mass, diet, and activity level. Fortunately, there is a universal way to identify hydration. Your urine should be pale. You are overhydrated if it is clear; if it is dark, you are dehydrated. Tips for staying hydrated include:
Eat Nutritiously
Eating nutritiously will also go a long way in helping you extend your ideal anti-aging results. Micronutrients and nutrients you should focus on eating include vitamin C and protein.
Am I a Good Candidate for This Treatment?
An initial evaluation is required to determine whether you are a good candidate for a non-surgical facelift and which technique is ideal for you. Typically, you can expect to qualify for this anti-aging treatment if you are between the ages of 25 and 80 and concerned about loose skin, wrinkles, lines, and folds.
non surgical face lift threading
If you are looking for a minimally invasive way to improve your appearance and take years off your face but don’t want to go “under the knife” for something more invasive like a full face lift, you might want to consider a PDO thread lift.
A PDO thread lift is a non-surgical facelift where facial skin is lifted and tightened using Polydioxanone (PDO) threads. These threads are anchored and inserted into different layers of the skin using needles, instantly lifting and tightening sagging skin. Anywhere from 1-15 threads may be used per section.
There are three main types of PDO threads: mono, cog, and screw threads. Each type is designed for a slightly different treatment and use. For most patients looking for tightening and skin rejuvenation, the mono texture will suffice. Prior to treatment, the skin is anesthetized for minimal discomfort.
A PDO thread lift provides instant skin lifting and stimulates collagen production and cellular renewal, improving your skin’s texture for lasting results. For patients who do not want to undergo major surgery, a PDO thread lift can minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially over time, with the additional collagen.
The threads typically dissolve within six months. However, due to the increase in collagen production, the positive effects of a PDO thread lift last between 12-24 months for most patients! You can have additional treatments to extend the results even further.
What About Recovery Time?
A PDO thread lift is minimally invasive, and therefore recovery time is short. Typically, patients resume regular activity within one week following the procedure.
At Academic Alliance in Dermatology we’re proud to have providers who specialize in this revolutionary skin treatment with safe, natural-looking results. We perform PDO thread lift treatment at our Tampa office on Kennedy Blvd. Request your appointment today!
facelift without surgery at home
Avoid going under the knife at all costs! That’s the latest craze, however. With non-surgical alternatives to many body and facial plastic surgery procedures, people are now expecting dramatic facelift results without the risks associated with surgery or the downtime. But do these non-surgical plastic surgery procedures work? Can you really get a facelift without surgery with surgical facelift results?
Non-Surgical Facelift Alternatives: Separating Fact From Fiction on the Facelift Without Surgery
Stem Cell Facelifts
The Claim: An all-natural approach to facial anti-aging, your own fat is injected into your face after a mini-liposuction procedure. The fat will plump up your facial features for a more youthful look, and the fat also contains youthful stem cells which will heal the tissue from the inside out, providing long-term results.
The Reality: The jury’s still out on stem cells for anti-aging. However, research is promising. The downside? While this can help restore lost volume in the face, it does very little to tighten or lift sagging skin. A surgical facelift is still required in many cases, and patients find they still require repeated injections like with dermal fillers.
The Liquid Facelift
The Claim: A board-certified facial plastic surgeon can administer injectable fillers and Botox to provide facelift-like results without surgery. A good example of this is Juvederm Voluma, which offers instant cheek enhancement and a subtle lower facelift without surgery and in just 15-30 minutes, combined with Botox to smooth out forehead and brow lines in addition to crow’s feet.
The Reality: Fillers and Botox are both amazing facial rejuvenation treatments that men and women of all ages are now getting to slow down the signs of aging. While these treatments are rejuvenating and provide excellent results, they are temporary and don’t replace a surgical facelift. If you require more dramatic results due to advanced skin sagging, Botox and fillers can be used following a surgical facelift, brow lift or lower face lift.
The Vampire Facelift®, or PRP Facelift
The Claim: After receiving a lot of attention in the media, the vampire facelift has become a popular alternative to facial plastic surgery. With the vampire facelift, your blood is drawn and then put into a centrifuge where the platelet rich plasma (PRP) is separated from the blood. This PRP is then injected into your face with a filler to provide more youthful-looking skin.
The Reality: The blood aspect gave the procedure its name, but the real ingredients at work are the fillers. Many patients like this idea of this procedure because it uses your own natural blood and PRP, but fillers are still often needed to augment the PRP. Finally, results are temporary, making this a poor long-term solution. In our opinion, it’s a more expensive and hyped-up way to administer facial fillers.
Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Technology
The Claim: RadioFrequency (RF) and UltraSound waves can lift and tighten skin as a non-surgical facelift alternative. After just one treatment, skin is tighter and smoother.
The Reality: While treatments like Thermage® and Ultherapy® can offer anti-aging benefits for some patients, many patients find that results don’t last as long as they expected or that they aren’t good candidates due to their more advanced signs of aging. If you have significant sagging around the jawline or eyes, non-surgical skin tightening likely won’t produce the results you’re looking for. These are, however, good for men and women in their 40s or 50s who just need a little help looking refreshed.
Mini-Lift or Mini-Facelift
The Claim: You don’t need a full facelift, just a mini uplift! What does that mean? That depends on the provider making the claim. However, this usually involves the lower face to treat the signs of aging from the nasolabial folds to the chin and back toward the earlobe along the jawline. This procedure goes by many names, including the Lifestyle Lift®, QuickLift® and the Weekend Facelift®.
The Reality: The idea here is to lure you in with the idea that you only need a “mini” procedure, when you likely require more extensive work or a different procedure entirely. It relies heavily on branding and marketing ploys, which leave patients with a false understanding of the procedure. Truthfully, these are still surgical facelifts. Board-certified facial plastic surgeons call these lower facelifts and neck lifts.
How Do I Decide Which Facelift Procedure is Right For Me?
Always go to a board-certified facial plastic surgeon to have a consultation. Whether they determine that you require a surgical facelift or a facelift without surgery, you’ll know it’s after a thorough consultation to ensure the best results, not just a quick fix.
